Overview
We begin by exploring the Cu Chi tunnels just outside Ho Chi Minh City where the Viet Cong lived and fought. We then head - above ground - to the Mekong Delta where you’ll experience traditional delta life. Our next stop is the quaint town of Hoi An, exploring ancient temples and local street markets. Continuing North, get relaxed and lose track of time by immersing yourself to the countryside of Ninh Binh. Follow by that, stop over to explore some of Vietnam’s famous caves and the breathtaking Ha Long Bay. Our final destination is the charming capital of Hanoi where you can enjoy some of the best food in all Vietnam.

Day 1Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
We arrive in the thriving Ho Chi Minh city and make our way through all the scooters, to our hotel. Here we’ll have a welcome dinner as a group.

Day 2Ho Chi Minh City
Morning tour to the famed Cu Chi tunnels, an underground network of passages showcasing the astuteness of the Vietcong during the Vietnam war. Return to the city and visit the Reunification Palace, the late 19th century Notre Dame Cathedral, French colonial-era post office, as well as Ho Chi Minh City Hall. In the afternoon, select from a choice of activities to further explore Ho Chi Minh City. This evening, enjoy local and regional cuisine accompanied by traditional
Vietnamese folk music.

Day 3Ho Chi Minh City
We take a drive down south to the sprawling Mekong delta with all it maze of waterways. Here we explore the local way of life on the delta as well as the local Cai Be floating market.

Day 4Hoi An
After arriving in the charming historical town of Hoi An we’ll do a walking tour of the old town. We’ll then get to enjoy some of Vietnam’s delicious dishes in one of the many excellent restaurants as we soak up the Hoi An atmosphere.

Day 5Hoi An
Today is all about exploring. We start at the ancient ruins of My Son before moving on to a nearby Hindu temple complex. After lunch we visit the coastal city of Danang, enjoying the nearby Non Nuoc Beach and eye-catching Marble mountains.

Day 6Hoi An
In the morning you can choose between a local cooking class, visit to handicraft villages or your own guide and transport to explore as you wish. The afternoon is dedicated free-time.

Day 7Ninh Binh
We fly to Hanoi and then drive to Ninh Binh. After lunch and check-in you are free to explore this regional city as you like.

Day 8Ninh Binh
Today we explore the natural and man-made beauty of Ninh Binh. Watch your heads as we venture into the Thien Ha Cave. After coming up for air we tour the Bai Dinh Pagoda, Tam Coc & Bich Dong Pagodas. All are uniquely beautiful and worth seeing.

Day 9Halong Bay
We drive to the postcard perfect Halong Bay and board our cruise boat which will also be our home for the night. We’ll enjoy all our meals on the boat as we gently cruise around the bay.

Day 10Hanoi
If the weather’s good it’s worth waking up early to catch the sunrise over the water. We’ll spend the rest of the morning enjoying the amazing views before the short drive back to Hanoi.

The morning is yours to explore the old world charm of Hanoi. Wander the streets and neighbourhoods and make plenty of coffee stops. In the evening we’ll regroup in the Old Quarter for street food walking tour.

Day 12Hanoi
Today is dedicated to exploring the rich history of Hanoi. We pay a visit to the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh himself as well as to the Thang Long Citadel, One Pillar Pagoda and Hoan Kiem Lake. Depending on personal interests, a choice of museum visits will be available. Continue to the Temple of Literature before ending the tour in the old quarters.

We head to the airport and catch the afternoon flight home out of Hanoi.
