How large are your groups?
A central feature of our tours is our small group size of a maximum of 16 passengers. Most other small group tour operators consider 20 or 24 to be a small group. Many of our departures will average 10 -12 passengers.
How about airfares? Does your cost include flights to/from the destination?
Most of our departures are priced based on the land only cost and includes any domestic/regional flights while on tour. We constantly review international fares and if we find a great deal, we will block the seats for that departure. In those instances, we will list an air-inclusive pricing. Please refer to our website okushu.com to find the air inclusive departure dates. For non air-inclusive departures, we can assist to find the best schedule of flights and fares to the destination. As our tour customer, you will never pay a booking or service fee for your international flight.
Are any meals included?
Breakfast is always included. Our tours will also feature several lunches and dinners to allow you to sample the local cuisine. The number of meals may vary from tour to tour. Refer to our website okushu.com for more details.
Are your departures guaranteed once I book?
We do require a minimum number for our tours to operate. This number may vary from tour to tour. Once a tour is guaranteed to go, it is indicated on our website.
What are the accommodations like?
Our hotels are carefully selected to be well located and offer the right level of amenities and comfort for your enjoyment. If we had to rate them, we would say they are in the 3.5 to 4 star categories.
Can I arrive earlier or depart later than the tour dates?
Yes, we can make any pre or post tour arrangements for you. Whether it be just a one night pre-tour at the same tour hotel or a one week post tour to visit a neighbouring country, we will make your arrangements with the same attention to detail as our scheduled tours.
How much free time do I have while on tour?
Our tours are designed to have a good balance of included activities and free time. After all, you are on vacation – a lazy morning with breakfast in bed or an afternoon lounging by the pool should be possible.
How does your choice of activities feature work?
Those activities offered are not optional. They are all included in your tour cost. We realize that group members may have different interests. On certain days we offer different activities from which you will be asked to select one. Based on the tour participants selection, the group will be split into smaller groups for those activities.
